Seattle Boudoir Session | Bridal Boudoir

Brides are one of my most frequent boudoir clients. Your wedding is such a milestone and when everything is about big plans, life-changing transitions and pioneering a partnership in a big way, it’s really great to slow down and honor yourself in this moment with a boudoir session. Sometimes the photos end up being gifts for your partner on your wedding day (or, wait until a day or two after during your honeymoon!), but mostly, the women who come to me are doing this for themselves. It’s incredibly empowering to see yourself reflected back at ease, confident, beautiful and in sync with your body.

Also, fun life update from me: after years of shooting in rented studio spaces I’m about to debut my own home boudoir studio! I’m so excited to show you. Stay tuned!

Most of my boudoir clients get in touch with me around major life events. Weddings, big birthdays, starting a family, it’s all a good opportunity to stop and just take a second to love yourself. But, I also get lots of clients who just want to carve out some time in everyday life to create images that they feel show their heart and spirit, and that makes me so happy!

Some of my favorites from my session with Anna. I know there are a lot of ways to do boudoir. My sessions are aimed at empowerment and confidence — it should be a gift for yourself before it’s a gift for anyone else.

Amy | Seattle Boudoir Session

When it came to photographing Amy Paine of Amy Catherine Photography, I knew that I wanted to do my due diligence in making the most beautiful photos possible.  Amy has photographed over 100 women for her "Just Me" project, which features women of all ages, sizes, ethnicities and life experiences, set in a natural light studio with no hair or makeup, with the idea of embracing ourselves just as we are.  It's a powerful project that is continuing on now.

In taking on boudoir as an aspect of my business, I wanted to focus on capturing softness, light, movement and individuality.  There are a lot of different boudoir photographers out there, and I want to do this a bit differently.  I'm in love with the result of our session and am excited to share some images with you here.

Boudoir is not as scary as it sounds!  It's an extremely empowering experience and I believe every women deserves to make this time and investment for herself.  To start the conversation or to learn more, click here
