Six Outfits I'm Wearing on Repeat

This morning I woke up to a fresh coat of raindrops on the ground and windowsills. The air is cool and weaves through your hair, reaching directly into my soul and reminding me of the magic of Seattle and the PNW pre-fall time. Though I’m not ready to let go of this summer, I’m here fully for the cooler mornings and the chance to feel renewed by the cool breeze and scent of fresh earth.

This month I’m enjoying transitional style in my everyday fashion. You might need a sweater in the mornings or evenings, and it’s fun to reintroduce layering into my everyday routine. Here are six outfits that I’m wearing mixed and matched and on repeat:

Summer Makeup Situation

Now that summer has finally arrived in Seattle (the weeks of longingly looking upon everyone else’s summer posts on Instagram are no longer a weight across my sad chest), I’m finding my groove and wanting to simplify my routine to maximize the amount of time I can spend outside soaking up the beautiful weather. We’re always playing nap time hopscotch with the kids, so when everyone’s up, fed, changed and ready, you need to be READY!

Here are some of my favorite products that I’m currently using to get that perfect no makeup makeup look, and some links so you can check them out yourself!

What's After Coastal Grandmother?

You may wonder what happens when you reach pinnacle coastal grandmother status. The pant legs are wide, the proportions breezy, the layers interchangeable: what else could be better? Coastal Grandfather. That’s the answer. You might catch a late morning tee time, you might swing through a car wash after getting a crisp haircut, you might sit on a leather armchair and contemplate your investment strategy. It’s all smooth sailing from here.

Everlane is having their 4th of July sale starting Friday, July 1st, where you can grab some of your own coastal grandfather essentials for all the teetimes ahead.

Sleepwear That Makes Me Feel Like an Actual Thriving Lady

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to pajamas my MO had always been convenience and comfort over style. I wore the same cotton shorts and whatever tee for years and years. It never felt special, it always felt like resigning myself to blah-dom. I thought that stylish pajamas were uncomfortable (remember: flannel and lace nightgowns a la 1997, for my fellow millennials?).

Getting to the point: when this Lunya set arrived I was shocked at how much of this design is literally designed for my comfort. Not to mention the washable silk is absolutely gorgeous and the drape of the fit is stunning and falls somewhere between breezy and sexy. (The latter is a word I’m working on taking back from a youth in purity culture, and is feeling good and empowering to use these days.)

After satisfaction after a few spins in front of my mirror I knew the true test would be sleeping in this. Best. Sleep. Ever. The waistband has little grip beads so the shorts don’t twist and the top, even with the low v, didn’t twist and reveal a truly nude self in the morning.

Basically, you can have your cake and eat it too and be comfortable AND sexy and a full-ass grown adult woman thriving.

Shop the Lunya Washable Silk Tank Set and use the code GIFT-EMILYK20 for $20 off your order of $100.

Sleep well!
