Seattle Interior Photographer | Suncadia Modern Farmhouse

Are you ready for this one? I was so excited to capture the new and beautiful Suncadia Farmhouse, situated in the new Cabins at the Farm development in Suncadia Resort.

With a perfect balance of modernity and warmth, this home is situated on a nature preserve, giving incredibly peaceful views of a vast field backed by Cle Elum mountains. The combination of modern and bohemian styles creates an inviting atmosphere in this short term rental, with a design plan by Jessica Nelson. As an interior photographer, I strive to capture the unique character and charm of the home with the use of clean and natural light. I approach each room differently, bringing out the best features, both big and small.

When I’m able to combine listing photos with lifestyle, editorial photos I’m able to feature an effortless blend of modern travel vibes, making it look inviting and comfortable. It’s one thing to see a beautiful home through listing photos, and another to visually experience it through the lens of a lifestyle shoot inspired by magazine editorials and lifestyle blogs.

Don’t hesitate to check out this house for your next Suncadia visit on Roam.

Bobo's Bungalow Mt. Ranier | Seattle Airbnb Photographer

This is the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to being inside a snow globe. In December I headed to Ashford, WA, just outside Mt. Rainier National Park, to Bobo’s Bungalow. It’s a retro cabin with a modern makeover that manages to keep the soul of times past. Furnished with high-end finishes like Pendleton blankets and towels, and Heather Taylor accent pieces, it’s a luxury and rough-edged little escape under the majesty of Mt. Rainier.

I went on a solo-excursion, a much needed escape before the craze of the holidays. The best part is since I was there to capture listing photos, I was among the very first guests. There wasn’t even internet yet, and honestly it was the best way to totally unplug. I listened to record after record (their collection is expertly curated), danced around the living room, and browsed their extensive DVD library (Almost Famous for the win!). I soaked in the hot tub watching the darkening forest succumb to dusk. I made myself a pancake breakfast the next morning. I honestly had the best time. It was the perfect chance for a solo retreat, and would also make a really romantic little getaway with my husband, which I fully intend to come back for.

Photographing the interior, my goal was to capture the coziness and the collection of cozy cabin decor that the owners lovingly curated in their restoration of the lovely A-frame. It’s truly a peaceful oasis — there are deer who come to snack on the feeder just outside the front door (though they’d likely eat right out of your hand).

I can’t recommend this cozy cabin enough for a woodsy weekend adventure. You can book here!

Heron Haus | Seattle Airbnb Photographer

Just over an hour from Seattle, Port Orchard is a quaint little seaside town where you can find the Heron Haus. This beautifully appointed vacation rental is designed to bring forth the greatest sense of rest, relaxation and hygge. Set right on the water, the house affords incredible views all day long, with passing ferries and the occasional friendly harbor seal. It’s quiet as can be and is the perfect destination for a close-to-Seattle getaway.

In November I made a trip over to photograph the gorgeous natural interior design and to document a weekend of relaxing travel. I went with a dear old friend and treasured each moment of long conversations and life catching up. There were snacks, there were antiques, there was late night hot tubbin’, and (not pictured) a When Harry Met Sally snack-a-thon with impressive damages.

I recommend taking an old friends getaway ASAP. It’s so nice to have each other all to yourselves and to really catch up, reminisce, life-reflect and CHILL.

MaiLinh + Jake | Ballard Locks Winter Engagement

Winter means engagement sessions! It’s my favorite way to get to know my wedding couples, to find out what makes them laugh and to see the way they interact with each other. I’m always thrilled and grateful for the little glimpse into their lives.

We started this session with their EXTREMELY spry 8-year-old dog, and when life got too overstimulating for her, we continued on our own. :) I don’t get to spend enough time at the Locks, but they’re such an iconic part of Seattle history. On this particular day, a big day-cruise boat with Christmas EVERYTHING came through and made a performance, so it was busier than usual, but it’s usually a quiet escape in the city.

Enjoy.
