Bobo's Bungalow Mt. Ranier | Seattle Airbnb Photographer

This is the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to being inside a snow globe. In December I headed to Ashford, WA, just outside Mt. Rainier National Park, to Bobo’s Bungalow. It’s a retro cabin with a modern makeover that manages to keep the soul of times past. Furnished with high-end finishes like Pendleton blankets and towels, and Heather Taylor accent pieces, it’s a luxury and rough-edged little escape under the majesty of Mt. Rainier.

I went on a solo-excursion, a much needed escape before the craze of the holidays. The best part is since I was there to capture listing photos, I was among the very first guests. There wasn’t even internet yet, and honestly it was the best way to totally unplug. I listened to record after record (their collection is expertly curated), danced around the living room, and browsed their extensive DVD library (Almost Famous for the win!). I soaked in the hot tub watching the darkening forest succumb to dusk. I made myself a pancake breakfast the next morning. I honestly had the best time. It was the perfect chance for a solo retreat, and would also make a really romantic little getaway with my husband, which I fully intend to come back for.

Photographing the interior, my goal was to capture the coziness and the collection of cozy cabin decor that the owners lovingly curated in their restoration of the lovely A-frame. It’s truly a peaceful oasis — there are deer who come to snack on the feeder just outside the front door (though they’d likely eat right out of your hand).

I can’t recommend this cozy cabin enough for a woodsy weekend adventure. You can book here!

Heron Haus | Seattle Airbnb Photographer

Just over an hour from Seattle, Port Orchard is a quaint little seaside town where you can find the Heron Haus. This beautifully appointed vacation rental is designed to bring forth the greatest sense of rest, relaxation and hygge. Set right on the water, the house affords incredible views all day long, with passing ferries and the occasional friendly harbor seal. It’s quiet as can be and is the perfect destination for a close-to-Seattle getaway.

In November I made a trip over to photograph the gorgeous natural interior design and to document a weekend of relaxing travel. I went with a dear old friend and treasured each moment of long conversations and life catching up. There were snacks, there were antiques, there was late night hot tubbin’, and (not pictured) a When Harry Met Sally snack-a-thon with impressive damages.

I recommend taking an old friends getaway ASAP. It’s so nice to have each other all to yourselves and to really catch up, reminisce, life-reflect and CHILL.

Seattle Eastside Bright Stage by Hamilton & Co. | Interior Photography

The best part about my job (other than witnessing beautiful spaces and interiors firsthand) is meeting incredibly talented designers and stylists. Erin Vernon of Hamilton & Co. is not only a powerhouse of styling prowess, but also one of the kindest humans on the planet. Her design skills are so good that you don’t even notice the level of intentionality and detail. You know when you see something so perfectly as its whole that the smaller pieces blend in seamlessly so that you’re not looking at a collection of items but rather experiencing an entire feeling? That’s walking into one of Erin’s projects.

This stunning project on the Seattle Eastside was so much fun to photograph. Erin worked with the abundance of natural light to create an airy, light and crisp interior space that you just want to live in. Each room has its own flavor but everything works together to create a cohesive vision for a potential resident.

A Jewel Box in Seattle | Commercial Interior Photographer

Whenever Jennifer Gardner is driving the ship I always know I’m in for something fun. Jennifer does such an amazing job tailoring each project to the client’s needs, while adding her trademark to all of her designs, whether they lean more traditional or playful. The queen of a fabulous wallpaper, this project did not disappoint with not one, not two, but THREE statement wallpapers that each define a space and make it so special. Photographing her spaces is always such a joy because of the teamwork that goes into each photoshoot. Rather than checking off a list, we allow for nuance, detail and inspiration to lead us as we capture her work. We pay attention to the way light enters a space and illuminates her often colorful designs. We play with scale and accessorizing with her incredible staging kit (which is the most organized thing I’ve ever seen). The most magical photos come from collaborative and energetic teamwork and working with Jennifer is such a dream.
